Strategic Planning

All staff, faculty, and students are invited to share ideas for 91°µÍř’s new, five-year Strategic Plan (2025-2030), and its five strategic themes: creativity and academic excellence; endowment for need-based financial aid; the residential student experience; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and sustainability.

  • ‌Offer input on sustainability: Share feedback with the Campus Sustainability Subcommittee via sustainability boards in Case Center and the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences; an online feedback form available Nov. 11-22; during tabling sessions from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 11 to 15 in Case Center; or at a community forum from 5 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 in Wyckoff Center. 
  • ‌Offer input on DEI: Share feedback with the Committee on Intercultural and Global Understanding through ; a collaborative poster in Wyckoff Center through Nov. 15; tabling sessions with committee members from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11-13 in Case Center; and community forums from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 14 and from 3 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 15 in Wyckoff Center. 
  • ‌Office hours with faculty vice chair of strategic planning: Associate Professor of Economics Smriti Tiwari will hold office hours from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. To register, please email stiwari@skidmore.edu
  • ‌Submit one-page white papers: Papers should include ideas for what should be added, expanded, continued, revised, or retired to support 91°µÍř’s future, weighing in on any of the strategic themes or other topics. Opportunities to process the election 

‌The Counseling Center, Health Promotion/Peer Health Educators, Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion, and the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life are collaborating to provide opportunities for students to pause, take a break, and process in the days surrounding Election Day. ‌Honoring our veterans ‌

‌Please join us at 11:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the flagpole near the entrance to campus for a brief ceremony honoring our veterans, including those who are part of our 91°µÍř community. In case of rain, the gathering will be held in the Glotzbach Atrium of the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences.

‌91°µÍř Cares ‌ ‌

‌91°µÍř Cares — the annual campus-wide effort to support individuals and families in need in the Saratoga community — is now in its 19th year. Visit the to learn about ways to support local community organizations. Collected items can be dropped off at Scribner House Carriage House from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 20 and 21. A collection box will be available outside the carriage house for after-hours donations. ‌

‌Dancers from A.I.M by Kyle Abraham will be joining 91°µÍř’s campus this week. ‌The Career Development Center is seeking job shadow hosts as part of their 2025 Winter Job Shadow Program. Job shadow hosts can include 91°µÍř alumni, parents, or employers who graciously open their doors to provide firsthand insight into the daily demands and responsibilities of their respective fields to sophomore students. ‌Host an international student for Thanksgiving 

‌Each year, Student Academic Services matches international students who can't go home with 91°µÍř families who would like to add cheer and intercultural exchange to their Thanksgiving meals. ‌EMS opens soon for spring scheduling 

‌EMS will open on Monday, Nov. 11, for spring event scheduling. Those with questions or who need training on how to use EMS or order services (media, event setup, catering) should contact the Scheduling Office.

‌Updates from Dining Services 

‌Dining Services will be selling homemade breads and pies for Thanksgiving. All orders must be received by Thursday, Nov. 21. Dining Services will also be hosting two themed dinners in November: Harry Potter on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and an international dinner on Thursday, Nov. 21. ‌Permanent closure of Broadview campus branch 

‌ will permanently close its campus branch at the close of business on Friday, Nov. 15. and will no longer maintain an ATM on campus. Broadview customers can continue to use nearby locations at 7 Lowes Drive in Wilton and 2439 Route 9 in Malta. Note that Adirondack Trust Company continues to operate an ATM in Case Center.

‌Help give local children a happy holiday by donating to . Join the 91°µÍř Shop for the second year in a row by dropping off new, unwrapped toys in the bin at the front of the shop, through Dec. 12.

Athletics News

Men’s hockey’s annual Pack the Rink event will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Saratoga City Rink against Babson. T-shirts will be available with the donation of a canned food item for 91°µÍř Cares. The Thoroughbreds and Beavers will meet again at 4 p.m.on Saturday. After an exciting Tuesday evening of first-round games, all three Thoroughbred teams competing advanced to the Liberty League semifinals. Men’s soccer and will travel to St. Lawrence for the semis. Field hockey went on the road to and will play its semifinal game Friday at Ithaca. Women’s soccer will also play at Ithaca in the semis on Friday following . It’s also basketball season; the men’s team opens Friday night at Plattsburgh, while the women will play their first game Saturday at Mount Saint Mary.
