All staff, faculty, and students are invited to share ideas for 91°µÍř’s new, five-year , and its five strategic themes: creativity and academic excellence; endowment for need-based financial aid; the residential student experience; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); and sustainability. ‌

  • Call for white papers deadline extension: Papers should include ideas for what should be added, expanded, continued, revised, or retired to support 91°µÍř’s future, weighing in on any of the strategic themes or other topics. Group submissions are encouraged. The deadline has been extended: Submissions are now due by noon, Wednesday, Nov. 20, to planning@skidmore.edu.
  • ‌‌Offer input on sustainability: Share feedback with the via sustainability boards in Case Center and the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences; an available through Nov. 22; during daily tabling sessions from noon to 2 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 15 in Case Center; or at a community forum from 5 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 in Wyckoff Center. ‌

91°µÍř Cares ‌ ‌ ‌

‌91°µÍř Cares — the annual campus-wide effort to support individuals and families in need in the Saratoga community — is now in its 19th year. Visit the to learn about ways to support local community organizations. Collected items can be dropped off at Scribner House Carriage House from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 20 and 21. A collection box will be available outside the carriage house for after-hours donations. ‌

‌Empty Bowls Project for the Wilton Food Pantry 

‌Members of the 91°µÍř community are partnering with friends of the Wilton Food Pantry for the . 91°µÍř students have created approximately 300 bowls for the event, which will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Saratoga-Wilton Elks Lodge #161, on Route 9, and will include a silent auction and music by John Kribs and Adrenaline in addition to the meal.

‌EMS is open for spring event scheduling. Those with questions or who need training on how to use EMS or order services (media, event setup, catering) should contact the Scheduling Office

‌Facilities updates 

‌Between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, power will be shut down for Case Center, Ladd Hall, and Scribner Library while Facilities replaces electrical equipment. All buildings and systems will be monitored and checked during and after the outage. A crane and other equipment will be located near Case Green area during this time. The Case Center loading deck will be closed on Monday, Nov. 25, for work. In the case of inclement weather, projects will be rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30, and Tuesday, Dec. 3, respectively.

‌Permanent closure of Broadview campus branch ‌

‌ will permanently close its campus branch at the close of business on Friday, Nov. 15. and will no longer maintain an ATM on campus. Broadview customers can continue to use nearby locations at 7 Lowes Drive in Wilton and 2439 Route 9 in Malta. Note that Adirondack Trust Company continues to operate an ATM in Case Center.

Athletics News

The Thoroughbreds earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament, where they will head to Messiah University for a first-round game against Case Western Reserve University at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. At home this weekend, men’s basketball will play host to Alfred State at 7 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, riding has a home show, and the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host New Paltz for a 1 p.m. stable game dual meet.
