Employees volunteer during 91°µÍř Cares

Thanks to a match from Trustee James Zankel ’92 and hundreds of 91°µÍř community members, 91°µÍř Cares raised more than $30,000 and collected nearly 5,000 items for local community organizations.

FY 2026 budget development update 

‌The College will provide an update on the development of the FY 2026 operating budget at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 4, in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, second floor. All faculty and staff are invited to attend. ‌For those who cannot attend in person, (meeting ID: 944 0198 1431).

‌Key highlights from the October Board of Trustees Meeting 

‌The board meetings took place Oct. 16-18, and discussed the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, 2024-25 class statistics, initiatives, and recruitment strategies; heard from student representatives; and received updates about the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center, Baseball Field, and the College budget, among other topics. ‌McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center opening and feedback survey 

‌The McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center opens in January 2025 and Health Promotions is requesting community feedback on health and wellness classes, education, and resources offered within the building

‌Children's books drive ‌ 

‌The Reading Minds Scribner Seminar is hosting a book drive to collect new and gently used books for babies, children, and teens through Friday, Dec. 6. All books will be donated to the Saratoga Children's Literacy League, which provides free books to the children of Saratoga County. Books can be dropped off outside the CIS398 classroom. ‌Kids Night Out

‌Kids ages 5 to 13 are invited to enjoy well-supervised recreational activities sponsored by the baseball team in Williamson Sports Center from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. No preregistration is necessary. Cost is $10 per child. Contact Ron Plourde (x5380) for more information.

‌Dining Services will be hosting the final themed dinner of the year, “The Nutcracker,” from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. Wafflefest will be hosted in Murray-Aikins from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, and will be free for all students, compliments of Dining Services, SGA, Dean of Students and the President’s Office.

Athletics News

All Thoroughbred teams are on the road this weekend that also marks the beginning of Liberty League play for basketball. Both the women’s and men’s basketball teams head north this weekend to kick off the league slate against Clarkson and St. Lawrence. Men’s hockey is traveling to Boston for a pair of NEHC games against UMass Boston. Swimming and diving will be at RIT’s Don Richards Invitational on Friday and Saturday, and riding will compete at an IHSA Tournament of Champions event in Virginia.
