Gail Cummings-
Danson
Gail Cummings-Danson, associate dean of student affairs and director of athletics, was honored Sept. 30 by the at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. As a lacrosse player at Temple University, Cummings-Danson had a career total of 289 goals, the Division I record. She scored 94 goals in 17 games during Temple’s undefeated 1988 national championship season. She is a member of both the Canadian and United States Lacrosse Halls of Fame and the Temple University Hall of Fame.
David Domozych
David Domozych, professor of biology, gave a seminar presentation titled "Fifty shades of green:
the secret life of a charophyte" at the Department of Plant Biology of Cornell University
on Sept. 29.

Giuseppe Faustini
Giuseppe Faustini, professor of Italian, published a book-length study on Luigi Pirandello: studi e ricerche. (Metauro Edizioni: 2017, P. 262). Faustini published two articles, 1) "Pirandello traduttore di se stesso" in Forum Italicum, fall 2017, N. 3, and 2) "San Francesco d'Assisi, Il Cantico delle Creature, a bilingual translation and a critical introduction" in the Journal of Italian Translation, Vol. XII, N. 2, fall 2017. Faustini also published two book reviews: 1) McDonald Carolan, Mary Ann, The Transatlantic Gaze: Italia Cinema. American Film (SUNY Press, Albany, NY, 2014, Pp. 172), published in Annali d'Italianistica (2016) Vol. 34, pp. 630–633, and 2) Salsano Roberto, Pirandello in chiave esistenzialista. (Bulzoni: Roma, 2015), published in Quaderni d'Italianistica, Vol.37, N.2, 2017. Finally, Faustini presented a paper titled "Pirandello Translates Pirandello" at the Pirandello International Conference at Hunter College in NYC on September 16.
Jackie Vetrano
Jackie Vetrano, social media coordinator in the Office of Communications and Marketing, had an article
titled "" published in the Journal of Education Advancement and Marketing, Vol. 2, No. 2. The paper grew from her research and development of a Pinterest strategy
for 91°µÍø.
