Kris Covey, visiting assistant professor of environmental studies, was appointed as a member of
the by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The council supports sustainable forestry, the manufacture of wood products, efforts to improve public understanding of New
York鈥檚 forests and forest products, and ventures that promote markets for forest products.
Sarah DiPasquale, assistant professor and associate chair of the Department of Dance, was appointed
to the editorial board of the . She will assume her new role in March.

Catherine Golden, professor of English, offered a webinar for the British Empire Study Group entitled

Beck Krefting, associate professor and chair of the Department of American studies, published a creative
nonfiction piece entitled "Her Gifts" in the forthcoming anthology 鈥�,鈥� a collection of humorists' musings. The collection is set to be published in March.
Jennifer Mueller, associate professor of sociology and director of the Intergroup Relations Program,
appeared as an invited guest on Memphis鈥� WYXR 97.1 鈥溾�� Mueller discussed research from her in-progress book, 鈥�,鈥� which is under contract with NYU Press.
