Kris Covey

Kris Covey, assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, presented at a National Science Foundation workshop, Mitigating Climate Change. The workshop is organized by UIDP and is intended to bolster linkages between universities and industry to solve pressing challenges. 

Keelin HollowoodKeelin Hollowood, assistant athletic director, will be inducted into the Greater Capital Region Track and Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame on Oct. 23. Hollowood, a standout at Saratoga Springs High School and Providence College, won consecutive championships in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the New Balance Outdoor High School Nationals in 2012 and 2013 and competed for the Blue Streaks on five relay teams that won in national meets. She ran on the 2013 NCAA championship cross country team at Providence and posted top-10 finishes on the track in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Big East Championships for four straight years. 

Steve IvesStephen Ives, associate professor of health and human physiological sciences, was invited to the Editorial Advisory Board of the  He is the sole member from a liberal arts college. Ives also authored a research paper published in the Journal of Functional Morphology and Kinesiology:  The research was led by recent graduates Olivia Czelusniak 21 and Emily Favreau 21 as their senior thesis project. 

Michael Janairo

Michael Janairo, manager of communications and strategic initiatives at the Tang Teaching Museum, gave a presentation for museum professionals called "" at the Museum Association of New York Partnership Forum at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, New York.  

Sue KesslerChris Mann, associate professor of political science, spoke to CBS 6 News. In the segment, Mann said Cuomo may not have the political imagery to run for office again, but he is likely aiming to be seen as a respected elder statesman in the party in the long run.

Oscar Perez Hernandez

Oscar A. P矇rez, associate professor of Spanish, co-edited a special issue of the literary studies journal  devoted to the Generaci籀n de Medio Siglo, one of the most influential generations of 20th-century Mexican literature. He also published the article titled  His work highlights the contemporary relevance of Amparo D獺vilas early work, which was recently published in English as The Houseguest and Other Stories (2018).
