Commuting students
Eligibility
The commuting student must permanently reside locally or stay with authorized and responsible adult relatives that are able to provide care, shelter, meals, and supervision to the student for the duration of the Pre-College Program. On-campus housing is not included or permitted. Domestic students who reside outside the local Saratoga area that need accommodation are not eligible for the commuter option. Students found in violation of this policy will be immediately dismissed from the program
Transportation
Student transportation to and from campus is the sole responsibility of the parent/legal guardian. Commuter students must provide their own transportation to/from 91°µÍø.
Pre-College students may not ride in cars of program or campus peers, including cars of other commuter or college students. Transportation must be arranged and supervised by the parent/guardian.
Commuter students who plan to park on campus during the program must register their vehicle.
Dining
Commuter students do not receive a meal plan through their tuition and program fees. Commuters do have the option of adding funds to their Student ID Card account that can be used in the dining hall, cafes and vending machines on campus (also see 91°µÍø ID Cards below).
Campus Access
When not in class, commuter students may wish to study or spend time on campus. Lucy Scribner Library, campus common areas, and cafes are open to all commuter students.
Residence Hall Access/Policies
On-campus housing is not available or permitted for commuting students. All Pre-College students are prohibited from being in the vicinity of campus apartments (including Northwoods and Sussman Village/Hillside) or any on- or off-campus college housing. The Pre-College residence hall maintains strict guidelines related to the protection of minors. No visitors are permitted in the Pre-College residence hall.
Student ID Cards
Communting students are welcome to add funds to their 91°µÍø Student ID Cards for campus meals/purchases.

Social Activities & Events
Commuter students are welcome to attend events hosted on campus as well as the scheduled activities listed below. Please contact mpaquett@skidmore.edu one week in advance of the scheduled activity to secure your spot. Activites TBA.
