Committees and Subcommittees
Legislative Committees
Legislative committees exist to oversee particular areas of importance for the student body. These committees are largely staffed by senators and report to the Senate.
Committee on Operations (CO)
The Committee on Operations aides the Executive Vice President with the internal management of the SGA. CO’s primary purpose is to track the completion of internal administrative tasks. CO coordinates with all SGA branches, committees, and subcommittees for the purpose of promoting transparency and compliance with SGA regulations.

Academic Council (AC)
The Academic Council acts as the chief liaison between students and Academic Affairs. AC creates discourse surrounding academic life at 91°µÍø, programs academic events, addresses academic concerns, makes policy recommendations to the Senate, and forges positive relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators.

Budget and Finance Committee (B&F)
The Budget and Finance Committee acts as the chief management body of all Student Government Association finances and funds. B&F additionally serves as a financial resource to all SGA-affiliated groups on campus. The Committee handles issues such as: the allocation of program support, significant line changes in budgets, the budgeting of organization trips, the allocation of the JSS Activism Fund, and the creation of SGA’s budget for each fiscal year. Additionally, B&F serves as a place to voice financial concerns, new ideas to help SGA better manage funds, and financial strategies to ensure that the funds that the SGA is responsible for are allocated in the best possible way for the entire student body.

Committee on Student Life (CSL)
The Committee on Student Life is an active body that promotes the highest quality standard of student life for students. CSL works collaboratively with various departments as an advisory board that discusses campus initiatives related to student life. CSL focuses on policies and initiatives throughout the campus that directly affect students.

Committee on Institutional Diversity (CID)
The Committee on Institutional Diversity creates annual diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training for SGA Officers, advocates for DEI practices within the SGA, and works with the College administration to improve campus inclusivity.

Engagement and Outreach Committee (EOC)
The Engagement and Outreach Committee aides the Vice President for Engagement and Outreach with the management of the SGA’s engagement and outreach campaigns. EOC fosters connections across different class years, collects valuable feedback from the student body, recruits students to the SGA, and facilitates a comprehensive understanding of the campus climate within the SGA. Additionally, this committee serves as a liaison with the Office of Leadership Activities (OLA) during elections to advertise open positions and host elections events.

Subcommittees
Subcommittees are responsible for specific areas of student concern. Subcommittees work to most effectively and efficiently recommend policies in their area to the Senate and respective committees.
CSL Subcommittee on Sustainability (SuCo)
The CSL Subcommittee on Sustainability is the primary advisor to the SGA on all matters of sustainability. SuCo is the primary student group responsible for educating and collaborating with clubs, students, faculty, staff and the administration with the intent to advance the commitment to sustainability on campus. Additionally, SuCo oversees the SGA Green Grant in collaboration with the 91°µÍø Sustainability Office.

CSL Subcommittee on Athletics (CSLA)
The CSL Subcommittee on Athletics (CSLA) is the primary advisor to the SGA on all matters of athletics. This subcommittee is the liaison between the SGA and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and promotes engagement between the two institutions.

CID Subcommittee on ADA
The CID Subcommittee on ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) is the primary advisor to the SGA on all matters of accessibility. This subcommittee recommends measures to improve ADA accessibility of on-campus facilities to administrators of 91°µÍø College and conducts focus group interviews with students, faculty, and staff.
