Policies and Procedures
The Surrey-Williamson Inn is on the campus of 91°µÍø. The guest rooms serve as a quiet, private, and convenient option to house guests of the college. The Surrey Inn does not have a front desk, however staff are present Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8:30am - 4:30pm). After hours, or in event of any emergency, 91°µÍø Campus Safety 518-580-5567 can assist you.
Reservations
Due to our boutique nature, our online reservation system is designed to accept rooms up to 72 hours in advance. If you need something more immediate, please contact us directly by calling (518) 580-8270.
Rooms can be requested up to six months in advance. Guests doing business with the college will be given priority. Certain black-out dates apply, contact us for more information.
Rooms are intended for short-term stays of less than one week, as there are no cooking or laundry facilities.
Please note, Rooms 1 through 9 are all on the second floor. The Surrey does not have an elevator to the second floor.
Check-in Information
Check-in time is 3 p.m.
Check-out time is 11 a.m.
Up to 48 hours before check-in day, guests will receive an email with a confidential keycode to access the front door and guest room. Emails will be sent from our reservation system, please check your junk mail if you do not receive it. In addition, on the morning of your check-in day, we will text message you the confidential key code to access the front door and guest room.
Cancellation Policy
With only 10 rooms, The Surrey-Williamson Inn is a small, intimate boutique property. As such, cancellations of any kind affect us significantly.
Reservations are subject to a 72 hour cancellation period. If your plans require that you must cancel your reservation within the cancellation period, you will be responsible for paying the value of any night we are unable to re-book your room.
Track Season reservations (starting in mid-July through Labor Day) are subject to a 30 day cancellation period. If your plans require that you must cancel your reservation within the cancellation period, you will be responsible for paying the value of any night we are unable to re-book your room.
Belmont Stakes reservations (starting Thursday, June 5 through Saturday, June 7) are non-refundable after March 1, 2025. If your plans require that you must cancel your reservation after March 1, you will be responsible for paying the value of any night we are unable to re-book your room.
No-Show Policy
The entire balance of your stay will be charged to the card on file.
Unapproved Late Departure Policy
Guests who leave after 11 a.m. on the day of departure with no prior approval will incur a $50 charge
Non-smoking Policy
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited in the Surrey-Williamson Inn, classrooms, rest rooms, hallways, office areas and all other indoor areas, and within the boundaries of 91°µÍø's campus. The burning of candles or incense in guest rooms of the Surrey-Williamson Inn is prohibited.
Pet Policy
For health and safety reasons, unapproved pets are not permitted. If an unapproved animal is found at the Surrey, the owner will be asked to remove it from the premises immediately and will be charged a deep cleaning fee of $300. If applicable, see our therapy animal authorization requirements, and contact surrey@skidmore.edu for final approval.
Excessive Cleaning Policy
Excessive cleaning required in guest rooms and common rooms due to smoking, food preparation or other extreme cases will incur a $300 charge.
Damages POLICY
Guests will be held liable for all damages incurred during stay.
Property loss POLICY
91°µÍø is not liable for loss of money or valuables by any person or the loss or damage to any resident's property. The College is not responsible for storage of personal items. The College is not responsible for any personal items left in a room after the scheduled departure date/time.
